Roleplay Rules and Requirements
1. Roleplay avatars & other roleplay images must contain personally made (drawings, photography, etc), of a public domain (a famous person's picture like you would find through google), or someone else's creation if you have their permission (expressed and written or in their license - like creative commons).[/url]
IV. You can have other people make your avatar and images for you, but they must agree to you using it and the image still must not violate the rules given above.[/ul]
2. Roleplay posts must have a minimum of 100 words. You should be trying to go for quality over quantity, but 100 words is barely even enough to get a plot moving forward. We are implementing this rule to help the stories. There is no maximum word count.
3. Remember the Rights of the Wanderers and do not violate them.
4. You must generally rate your RP. This is simply to let your future readers know what they're getting into - an extra preview.
5. Your roleplay characters can be any age but do not place children in un-childlike atmospheres (aka smoking marijuana). Be realistic, not scandalous for the purpose of scandal.
6. As mentioned in the Rights of Wanderers, we must also abide by Proboards' Terms of Service. The Objectionable Content Parameters are as follows:
7. With the Proboards ToS, it is required that we do not have mature themes in roleplay.
8. If your RP has no posts for two months, it will be moved to archives. You will receive a warning at the one month mark to remind you to post and to ask you if you want to move it to archives. At two months of inactivity it will be an automatic move.
9. Finished RPs (either abandoned or completed) will be moved into the temporary archives. They will stay there for 16 months and after that will be moved into the permanent archives where all old public threads and things are kept. Nothing will ever be deleted (unless it violates the forum and roleplay rules).
10. Do not take complete control over another person's character, including killing them, unless that person says it's okay for you to do that. In addition, your posts cannot be composed entirely of netspeak.
11. You may have as many RPs as you'd like. Simply remember that you need to respond to each in an appropriate amount of time and if you don't you will upset your partner(s) and have your thread moved due to inactivity.
If you are found to violate these rules, you will be initially warned. If the violations continue or if these violations are extreme, the responses will be harsher. If they are bad enough, you will be prohibited (at least temporarily) from roleplaying, and all the way up to a permanent ban from the site (which is rare but possible).
